Everything about eltree — the free content-first link-in-bio
Getting Started
eltree is a link-in-bio tool and Linktree alternative that displays your content in a visual grid instead of a boring list of text links. Paste any URL and eltree auto-extracts the thumbnail, title, and platform info. Your page looks like a curated portfolio, not a phone directory. The link-in-bio is 100% free — Pro (£9/mo) adds multi social posting, scheduling, and analytics.
Visit eltree.app, sign up with your email (no credit card needed), set your display name and URL, pick a theme, and hit publish. The whole process takes under 60 seconds. Then start adding content by pasting URLs. Your visual link-in-bio page is ready to share immediately.
Your page lives at eltree.app/yourname — you choose the slug during setup. Put this link in your Instagram bio, TikTok profile, Twitter/X bio, YouTube about section, or anywhere else you share links. It is your one link for everything.
Not at all. Choose a theme, pick a font, and eltree handles the rest. Auto-extracted thumbnails and pre-designed themes mean your page looks professional without any design effort or manual image uploading.
eltree works with every social media platform. Put your eltree link in your Instagram bio, TikTok profile, Twitter/X bio, YouTube channel, LinkedIn profile, Facebook page, Pinterest, Snapchat, Threads, or any platform that allows a bio link.
Features
Instead of a vertical list of text links, eltree shows your content in a 3x3 visual grid with thumbnails. It looks like an Instagram profile but for all your content across every platform — YouTube, TikTok, Spotify, blog posts, anything.
Paste any URL into eltree and it automatically pulls the thumbnail image, title, and platform icon. Works with YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Spotify, SoundCloud, blog posts, and any website with Open Graph tags. Zero manual uploading.
Visitors can react to individual tiles on your grid with emojis — no login or account required. It makes your page interactive and shows you which content resonates most with your audience.
Stories are ephemeral content that disappears after a set time — great for announcements, promotions, or time-sensitive links. Highlights are permanent collections pinned to your page. Both work like Instagram stories but on your link-in-bio.
eltree includes 6 premium themes: Midnight (dark, elegant), Neon (bold, vibrant), Cream (clean, warm), Ocean (cool, professional), Minimal (sleek, simple), and Sunset (warm, dramatic). Plus a full custom color picker for primary, background, and text colors.
30 curated Google Fonts including Inter, Playfair Display, Poppins, Space Grotesk, Outfit, Sora, and many more. Pick the one that matches your brand personality.
Yes — eltree Pro includes built-in multi social media posting. Write your post once and publish to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn all at the same time. Schedule posts in advance and track cross-platform analytics. Pro is £9/mo (or £7.50/mo on annual).
eltree has a built-in tip jar that lets fans support you directly on your page. You can add a customisable "Buy me a coffee" button with preset or custom amounts. Fans can leave their name and a message. Tips are processed via Stripe Connect and go straight to your bank account. The tip feature is free for all creators.
eltree.app/explore is a public directory of creators ranked by community reactions. The more reactions your page gets, the higher you rank. It is free discoverability you do not get on other link-in-bio platforms.

Choosing a link-in-bio tool
If you want a page that shows your content rather than listing it, eltree: the content grid, all six themes, 30+ fonts, custom colours, emoji reactions, stories and fan tips are free, with no watermark and no link cap. Bio.link is a strong free choice if you only want a simple link list. Carrd is better if you want to design a bespoke page yourself. Beacons is the right answer if you need a storefront and an email list. See eltree.app/alternatives for the full comparison.
Yes. eltree and Bio.link both have free tiers with unlimited links and no forced watermark, and Carrd is free for up to three sites on its own subdomain. Beacons and Taplink have free tiers but put their own branding on free pages, and Shorby has no free plan at all.
It depends what you need. eltree is better if you want a visual page and free design controls — Linktree charges for themes and colours. Beacons is better if you want a store and email marketing. Carrd is better if you want full design control. Linktree itself is still the better choice if you need a custom domain, built-in email or SMS capture, or link scheduling, none of which eltree offers at any price.
Use Linktree Premium, Carrd or Bio.link if you need a custom domain. Beacons if you need a storefront or an email list. Taplink if you need bookings, enquiry forms or payments on the page. Later if you want serious Instagram scheduling with a grid-matched link page. Lnk.Bio if you would rather pay once than subscribe. Shorby if you need retargeting pixels for paid campaigns.
Create a link-in-bio page and put its single URL into your Instagram bio link field under Edit Profile. The page holds as many links as you want. Instagram does allow a small capped number of links directly in the bio field, but they render as a plain list with no thumbnails and no analytics. There is a step-by-step guide at eltree.app/link-in-bio/how-to-create-a-link-in-bio-page.
There is no export from Linktree, so it is a copy-and-paste job. Open your Linktree page, copy each destination URL, and paste them into eltree — each one becomes a tile with its thumbnail pulled in automatically, so a page of eight to ten links takes a few minutes. Build the new page fully before switching, then change the single URL in each of your social profiles. Your Linktree keeps working until you delete it.
Pages are listed once they are published and carry at least three pieces of content plus either a bio of around twenty characters or two or more linked social profiles. The same threshold decides whether search engines are allowed to index the page. A nearly empty page stays fully public and works normally — it is just kept out of the directory and out of search until there is something on it worth finding.
Yes. Unpublishing the page removes it from search, the sitemap and the directory entirely. Pages that fall below the content threshold are automatically marked noindex. Note that unpublishing is what makes a page private — a published page is public whether or not search engines index it, so do not rely on noindex to hide anything.
